ARTIC Goes Purple for Alzheimer’s Disease

ARTICIf you drive down the 57 freeway this week, it will be hard to miss the purple glow emanating from Orange County’s premier transportation hub ARTIC. The Anaheim Regional Transportation Intermodal Center (ARTIC) joined Orange County landmarks, businesses and residents in ‘going purple’ to raise awareness about Alzheimer’s Disease.  The campaign is called GoPurpleOC and was organized by the Alzheimer’s Association, Orange County.

According to the Alzheimer’s Association website, “Alzheimer’s is a type of dementia that causes problems with memory, thinking and behavior.”  83,000 Orange County residents are currently affected by or are at immediate risk for Alzheimer’s Disease.  There are many ways to support GoPurpleOC and we encourage you to visit to learn how.  In October and November, the Alzheimer’s Association, Orange County is hosting several Walks to End Alzheimer’s throughout the county.
